When it comes to your skin and keeping it in great condition, there are a few things you should never do and a few things you should always do to keep it looking youthful, smooth and flawless!

To achieve a glowing, flawless complexion you don’t have to make lots of trips to the beauty salon and spend all your hard earned cash! There are a few simple alterations you can make from home to ensure you have that gorgeous glow every day.

Follow the below tips to ensure you skin care routine is always on point and you look your best every single day.

DO – Cleanse your skin every morning and night to remove and dead skin cells and makeup. Not removing impurities causes blemishes, dryness and ages the skin prematurely.

Don’t – Scrub your skin! Your skin is delicate so cleanse your skin gently using circular motions.

DO – Use a toner you remove any cleanser and residue that may have been left on your skin.

Don’t – Add unnecessary things to your face, you don’t need a different cream for every single blemish and issue.

DO – Moisturise your skin every morning and night. Cleansing and toning can sometimes remove a little bit of your skins natural moisture, moisturising your skin daily will keep it hydrated, firm and plump looking.

Don’t – Try to stay away from oil based moisturisers as these can often leave your skin looking greasy and even a little dirty because heavy oil-based products can leave your skin with breakouts and blemishes.

DO – Use a specific moisturiser for under your eyes as this area of skin is a very delicate one so be sure to treat it well. Aloe Vera is usually an excellent choice and Vitamin E due to their anti-inflammatory properties.

Don’t – Get the cheapest moisturiser you can find because you are likely to be losing quality.

DO – Exfoliate your skin once a week using exfoliating gloves or an exfoliating salt scrub, this will help remove the dead skin cells and any leftover residue ensuring skin can renew properly.

Don’t – Exfoliate every day because exfoliating can be too harsh on your skin if done too much as it removes dead skin cells, if done too much you can start removing new skin cells and make your skin sore and dry.

DO – Look after your scalp, this often gets forgotten because your hair hides it so well of course. Your scalp also needs some TLC and moisture. Treat it once a week to a massage, use some natural jojoba oil and massage it into your scalp, leave for 30 minutes and then rinse it off.

Your skin is the largest organ in your body so you need to make sure you look after your skin every day and you will reap the rewards. You only get one skin so don’t allow yourself to age prematurely by neglecting it, keep that youthful look as long as possible.
